Today has  been one busy day, I'm so fortunate to have family to help me do things. We were given what felt like a ton of carrots yesterday, we were so pleased since they don't seem to grow well here. Then we took my mother to the Blackberry Farm, she wanted to pick some and freeze them so she could make cobblers throughout the year. We ended up getting some as well, so now we have Blackberry's in the freezer for cobblers and then we make Blackberry Jelly. We were also given an entire flat of green Grapes, we love them for snacking. Two cases of Zucchini and last but not least a large Watermelon.

I never would have gotten all of that done by myself and even with the help still ended up having to take a couple of little naps throughout the day to get my pain level under control.

So here we are at the end of the day and looking back at our day we have 17 quarts of  shredded Carrots in the freezer just waiting to be made into a Carrot Cake.

We have 8 1/2 pints of Blackberry Jelly and a gallon of Blackberry's in the freezer. Just a side note for those of you who love Blackberry's but your children won't eat them. That is how our daughter is so she was not at all excited about the jelly, until she tasted it and now she wants us to make more. LOL

We put one large container in the refrigerator full of Grapes, with the remainder we put them in smaller containers and put them in the freezer. If you have never had frozen Grapes for a snack you are really missing something. You get one out, pop it in your mouth and suck on it like a piece of candy, then when it thaws you eat it like a regular Grape, it is divine.

Tomorrow we will be making Watermelon Jelly, we are excited about that one. We should have enough to end up with 4 to 8 pints. We still need to get Pineapple Jelly made. It is wonderful to have on toast but simply makes pork better than any you have ever had. Fruits are a natural meat tenderizer so not only is the meat tender but the taste is out of this world.

We have to hold off on the zucchini until Thursday because we have to go buy the store out on quart size zip lock bags to get all of that shredded and put up. We are going to take a few of them and try out a recipe for Dill Zucchini Pickles. I've never had that but I'm up for giving it a try. If you have ever grown Zucchini you know that you can have two plants and more zucchini than 5 families can eat. So finding new and different things to do with it is always nice.

Added to what we have done above we also got 6 quarts of peach halves done several weeks ago. We really need to go and get more since we found a man that is selling them for $1 a pound, that is extremely cheap in our area, and they are by far the best Peaches I've ever had.
